Founded in 2015 by Bastien Valensi, later joined by Emilien Foiret who became the co-founder, the brand CABAIA was born out of a desire to offer colorful, original, and high-quality accessories. Cabaïa was originally going to be named Copa Cabaïa, as a tribute to Copacabana Beach, but the name was eventually simplified.

From the outset, Cabaïa stood out with its innovative concept of customizable accessories, particularly beanies with interchangeable "pompons" thanks to a magnetic system. This playful and creative idea quickly gained popularity among customers seeking originality.
